Year 4 Trip to the Dubai Frame
This week Year Four enjoyed a fabulous trip to the Dubai Frame. First, they learned about Dubai’s past as they walked through a replica of the old souk and watched historical black and white footage of Bedouin tribes and pearl divers.
There were squeals of excitement and plenty of wide eyes as the children walked over the glass floor of the viewing bridge. Enjoying the benefits of a beautiful, clear day, they enjoyed spectacular views of both old and new Dubai and were able to sketch the wondrous skylines as part of their learning in Social Studies.
After watching an awe-inspiring film depicting what the future might hold for the UAE, everyone was ready for a picnic snack in a shady part of the surrounding gardens.
As always, our children represented DESS with distinction and their excellent behaviour and manners were commented on by several members of the public.
