Maths is all around us, so let’s make it fun! At DESS, we value the impact of irresistible learning. Our Numeracy curriculum enables children to build their mathematical understanding and equips them with the tools to enjoy learning and persevere with challenge. We aim to make learning true to life and relevant to all individuals based on their own individual abilities. It is fundamental that pupils have the confidence to take risks when investigating, solving problems or sharing ideas. As a team, we ensure feedback is celebratory and constructive whilst also ensuring contributions are rewarded in such a way that children enjoy participating. In preparation for real life, Numeracy at DESS is collaborative and delivered in a creative way with the use of information technology. It’s not all about sums!
