Cyprus Trip 2019
On 15th March, 32 children from Years 5 and 6, Mr Hall, Ms Clifford, Mr Kehoe and Miss Van Zyl all flew to Larnaca for the Year 5 and 6 Cyprus Environmental Studies trip.
Over the course of a week, the children explored fresh and salt water creatures, learnt all about the Roman mosaics and ruins at Paphos, carried out studies on insects and rocks, developed their orienteering, rock climbing and mountain biking skills and experienced the joys of Greek dancing!
Developing independence was also an objective of the residential, as children were expected to be fully organised for each day’s activities, keep their accommodation clean and tidy (including making their own beds) and they even had to make their own lunches each day!
The children had a fantastic week away, exploring the geography and history of the area and many people commented on their impeccable behaviour.
Well done to everyone involved.
