DESS Oud Metha continues to be a popular choice for families, particularly given the seamless transition to DESS College, where our Year 6 students are guaranteed a place in Year 7. Whilst we welcome applications for all year groups, demand often exceeds the number of available places and applications may therefore be considered for waiting list positions in the first instance.
DESS Academic City
We have carefully managed enrolment growth for the 2026/27 academic year and are delighted to have seen strong demand across all year groups.
Applications for the 2027/28 academic year are currently open for FS1 to Year 4 inclusive. Due to extensive waiting lists, applications for Years 5 and 6 are currently closed. This webpage will provide updates on application availability.
Whilst we welcome applications for FS1 to Year 4, demand often exceeds the number of available places and applications may therefore be considered for waiting list positions in the first instance.
The 2027/28 academic year will be our final year of planned capacity growth in years FS1 to Year 3. As part of the DESS family of schools, students in Year 6 at DESS Academic City are guaranteed a place at DESS College in Year 7*, providing families with a clear and seamless pathway from primary to secondary education.

DESS College
Please note that with two Year 6 cohorts progressing to the College, all Year 7 places for 2027/28 are expected to be filled by our current DESS Year 6 students, each of who is guaranteed a place in Year 7.
Should any of our current Year 6 students choose not to take up their guaranteed place, the vacancy will be offered to a suitable applicant from our existing Year 7 2027/28 waiting list.
If we are subsequently able to open applications for Year 7, this will be communicated on this webpage.
Applications for Sixth Form 2027/28 are now open.
To express your interest, please submit a completed online application form. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to offer interviews to all applicants. Those selected to progress to the next stage will be contacted no later than Friday, 5th March 2027 and will then be invited to pay the AED 525 application fee.
If your application is not shortlisted initially, it will remain on file and may be reconsidered should additional interview opportunities become available later in the admissions cycle.
